Social Sector Services
Since its establishment in 2013, SRSF’s Social Sector Services has evolved into a comprehensive platform addressing Education, Health, Nutrition, and key aspects of Water, Environment, and Sanitation (WES). These services are rooted in social mobilization, empowering local communities to actively participate in their own development.
Our Approach
SRSF works on two complementary fronts:
- Community Empowerment: Strengthening the capacity of communities to access services and influence the management of education and health facilities.
- Government Partnership: Supporting provincial and district governments in improving infrastructure, management, and service quality in health and education sectors.
All interventions are community-driven, supported through Community Organizations (COs), Village Organizations (VOs), Local Support Organizations (LSOs), and specialized committees (e.g., School Councils, Village Sanitation Committees).
Health
Since 2013, SRSF has promoted community-based healthcare for underserved rural populations. Key activities include:
- Health Camps: Diagnostic and curative services in remote areas.
- Training Programs: Capacity building for Traditional Birth Attendants, government health staff, and community volunteers.
- Reproductive Health Clinics: 05 clinics established for maternal, neonatal, and child healthcare, treating over 520 individuals.
- Disease Prevention: Extensive malaria prevention programs under Global Fund initiatives and health education campaigns on immunization, malnutrition, and family planning.
- Eye Care: Partnerships with LRBT for community-based ophthalmic services.
- Disaster Response: Health facility restoration
