3. Types of Donations

SRSF may accept donations through approved channels, including:

General Donations: Contributions that support SRSF’s overall charitable objectives and priority programmes.

Programme-Specific Donations: Contributions intended for a particular programme or cause selected by the donor.

Zakat Donations: Contributions designated as Zakat, managed separately from unrestricted donations in accordance with applicable Shariah principles and SRSF’s approved Zakat management procedures.

Sadaqah Donations: Voluntary charitable contributions used for eligible charitable purposes in accordance with the donor’s designation and applicable requirements.

4. Use and Allocation of Donations

SRSF aims to use donations responsibly, transparently, and for charitable purposes consistent with its mission.

Donations designated for a specific programme will be used for that purpose where reasonably feasible. If the programme is completed, becomes unavailable, or cannot reasonably proceed, SRSF may redirect the funds to a closely related charitable purpose, subject to donor restrictions, applicable law, and any relevant Shariah requirements.

Zakat funds will not be treated as unrestricted general donations and will be handled under SRSF’s approved procedures for eligible purposes.

5. Administrative and Programme Costs

Reasonable and necessary programme implementation, monitoring, financial management, payment processing, and administrative costs may be incurred to support effective delivery of SRSF’s charitable activities.

Such costs will be managed in accordance with applicable requirements, donor restrictions, and any specific conditions governing the funds. Zakat-related expenses and disbursements will be handled according to the applicable Shariah requirements and SRSF’s approved procedures.

6. Donation Methods and Payment Verification

Donations may be made through the payment methods currently available on SRSF’s website or through other officially approved channels.

Online payments may be processed through Meezan Bank or other payment service providers integrated with the website. Availability of payment methods may change over time.

For bank transfers, donations will be recorded as received only after the relevant funds have been received and verified by SRSF.

Donors should retain their transaction references or payment receipts for their records and for any necessary verification.

7. Donation Acknowledgements and Records

SRSF may maintain donation records for accounting, audit, reporting, programme management, donor communication, and legal or regulatory compliance.

Donation acknowledgements or receipts may be provided where applicable and supported by the relevant donation channel. Donors should provide accurate contact and transaction information to help SRSF verify contributions.

8. Refunds and Payment Errors

Donations are generally voluntary and non-refundable. However, SRSF may review requests involving duplicate transactions, verified payment-processing errors, or unauthorized payments.

All requests are subject to verification, applicable law, the relevant payment provider’s procedures, and SRSF’s Refund Policy.

A refund request does not guarantee approval. Requests involving Zakat or Sadaqah will also be considered in accordance with the applicable requirements governing those funds.

9. Transparency and Responsible Management

SRSF aims to manage donations responsibly and maintain appropriate financial records and internal controls. Donations may be subject to internal review, audit, donor reporting, or other applicable accountability requirements.

The allocation and timing of programme expenditure may depend on community needs, implementation arrangements, funding conditions, and operational considerations.

10. Donor Privacy

Personal information provided during the donation process will be handled in accordance with SRSF’s Privacy Policy.

Donors should not share payment-card security codes, PINs, passwords, or other sensitive authentication details through email or general website forms.

11. Policy Updates

SRSF may update this Donation Policy when necessary to reflect changes in programmes, donation channels, organizational procedures, or applicable requirements. The current version will be published on this page.
